Check-In/Out

You may arrive on site any time after 5pm on the Friday of the game weekend, and once you get there you can park your car either right in front of the dining hall or down by the pavilion building where there is a sign labeled ‘parking’. We start check-in at 5pm, so when you come see us please have your weapon ready for inspection and your printed character sheet in hand (your character sheet should be kept on your person at all times, since you may need to reference it to remind yourself of your skills, HP, etc. or staff may need to write on it for various reasons). At this time you’ll be given all necessary info such as your clean-up assignment, sleeping location, etc., as well as a large zip-lock baggie for you to keep in-game items and character sheet in for the duration of the weekend.

Once you’re checked in you can go and set up your sleeping space, and then go off-site to get dinner or personal supplies as needed if you hadn’t already. Game-on gets called at 9:30pm, so please make sure you’re in costume and ready to go then! We don’t want to delay this if possible, since we only get so much time in our weekend to provide you all with fun, crazy adventures. On Sunday the game will end somewhere between 12pm and 1pm, at which time you’ll hear a loud “GAME OFF” style shout from the staff. At this point we’ll all gather back in the dining hall to do our closing ceremonies, and take a little time to deliver any pertinent info. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

This is where you’ll also hand back your character sheet to us, since staff may have hand-written things on it throughout the weekend such as treasure or important plot notices that now need to be added into our computer system. Additionally, any gathered props (like alchemy ingredients, coins, etc.) need to be handed back to us, and they’ll be kept in your baggie for the next game. Please note that we may do things like exchange coins if we’re running low on a certain denomination, but the exact total of money you’ve gathered will still be in your bag one way or another.

Last is your official site check-out, which is two-fold: part one is your cleaning assignment, and part two is cleaning up your sleeping space. Everyone who attends the game has a clean-up assignment, which earns you extra EXP and helps ensure that we leave the site in good enough shape that we’re allowed to keep having our game here (which is pretty important!!) Once you complete both of your clean-ups find a staff member: they’ll do a quick inspection of your sleeping space before signing off on your character sheet so that it’s noted you did your duty, and at that point you’re free to leave the site.

Just as a note a lot of us like to get food together at a local place after, so sometimes it may be nice to plan for that!
